Bulgaria applies a liberal foreign trade regime that meets the WTO requirements. A limited number of goods are subject to administrative control. The Council of Ministers Decree No. 233 of 8 November 2000 and its latest alteration and amendment, published in State Gazette No 9 of 25 January 2005, established the current foreign trade regime.
Under the  Law on investment promotion as of August 2004 the Bulgarian Investment Agency provides informational services and individual administrative services.
