Celebrating Bulgaria: Stanislav Stratiev’s THE ROMAN BATH at the Arcola Theatre
The Roman Bath ran in Sofia for 10 consecutive years and was seen by over 300,000 people.
Stratiev’s plays have had 500 productions in Bulgaria.
Translated into 25 languages and produced in 40 countries, Stratiev has achieved a world prominence unmatched by any Bulgarian playwright ever.
The Arcola Theatre is one of the most respected arts venues in the UK, blazing a trail in artistic excellence and innovative management from its very beginnings. Housed in a stunning converted factory in Hackney, Arcola is a favorite of established theatre literati as well as young, upwardly mobile innovators.
The Roman Bath is produced Under the Patronage of HRH Prince Kyril of Bulgaria and with the generous support of Sir Tom Stoppard. The production is supported by the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture, the Bulgarian Embassy in London, the Bulgarian City Club and Friends of Bulgaria.
The production is still need of funding. You can help bring this masterpiece on British stage and become part of this true manifestation of the Bulgarian comedic genius by becoming a SPONSOR or by making a DONATION!
